Grace Church Hosts Fifth Styrofoam Collection Day

Saturday, October 23

10am to 3pm

Our next Styrofoam collection day is scheduled for October 23.  The church will accept Styrofoam packaging, food trays, coffee cups and packing peanuts!  (Please remove all tape, labels, or food particles from the Styrofoam before you bring it.)

We are also collecting plastic flatware that has been rinsed and packed in separate containers.   And we will be accepting electronics for recycling.

Refoamit, LLC will have a truck at the church to collect the Styrofoam.

Styrofoam is burned with the trash which creates a toxic ash, or it is put directly into the landfill, where it doesn’t break down - ever!

Grace and Edwards Churches are working together on an Earth-Care Education Project.

The Mission of this project is two-fold: to raise awareness about the biblical call to care for God’s creation; and to deepen our commitment to practices that help sustain and restore our environment.

Check out the "Earthcare Framingham" blog to see latest updates, links to local resources on sustainable living, and pictures from events.

Grace Church Works
 at Stearns Farm.

The church shares much of the harvest raised at the farm with the local Food Bank. In photos, Grace children and their parents help to plant produce.
